I wouldn't go cheap on the impeller; I know these guys will agree, as they've told me the same. I bought the good one on Ebay for around $40... I'm frugal, but willing to buy what is best for the boat and my security while out on the gulf.

Thanks Don. I did not order this thrust bearing, because I do not see it on my unit. However, when looking at the sterndrive diagram that I believe matches my unit, I see it listed in the drawling as #5... I only ordered...

This is my newer baby... 2001 Glastron 229 GS. Nada guides booked this one out at $22K with the tandum aluminum trailer and I picked it up for less than $6k on Ebay... seller forgot to put a reserve on it. Divorce... won it with 3 seconds to end.
