I replaced my original carbs from my 100hp ( 1" throat and #25 Idle Bleeds) with a set of carbs off a 115hp (1 3/16" throat and #27 & #28 Idle Bleeds). Is the outboard still a 100hp or is it now 115hp ????
I'm curious to know, as the rest of the outboard is identical.

Yes ... I have turned that knob almost to the end just to get it to rest against the stop. That doesn't leave me much room to adjust. I am beginning to think the cable is shot or there is a spring missing that pulls it back to the stop...
Well I have just about had it with this outboard (1979 100hp Johnson Javelin V4 100TLR79S). I have been banging my head for over a year trying to get this thing running.
I can get it started with warmup lever, once I drop it down, it stumbles farts and crashes. It will not idle without doing...
Having slight problem trying to find this product in Canada/Manitoba. Does anyone know where this can be found, or ordered online from Canadian dealer. Checked in Winnipeg and does not exist. Atleast everywhere I've looked.

Does this seem correct.
When running engine it appears my telltale is located on front side between LU and Upper. This seems like a strange place for its location as it does not appear to be running up to cool engine and once boat is in water, telltale will be below waterline.
Or am I wrong...
