    Does anyone know how much trouble this conversion is? I'm told the bolt pattern is the same, so I'll not have trouble there, but can I use the (Alpha) inner transom plate? They look the same in photos...

    Mercruiser Carb help...

    I have a pair of 330 hp mercruisers on Alpha Ones. I would like to 'derate' the engines by going to a two-barrel for each engine. Does anyone see a problem with this idea? I figure to use an adaptor between the carb and manifold.
