    what year outboard mercury do i have?

    serial number 5394274 cowling says that it is a 150 but carb, cover says 175 i think that it is a 1979? could anyone verify horsepower aswell v6.

    150 merc black max it is black wanting to rpaint the entire motor top to bottom. cowling what kind of paint do i use. lower half what kind of paint. any suggestions on quick and easy method.
