    Hey guys, just curious about the best all around rate of travel that you would suggest for my boat. its a 15' 72 tri hull with an 85 hp evinrude from the same year. im looking to cover distance, say maybe a 8-10 mile round trip... but dont want to be too hard on the motor for what its worth...

    just got my FIRST boat ever!

    Well i just got back from arranging for the pickup of my first boat ever. its a 1972 duo 15' tri hull boat with a 85hp evinrude outboard, electric shift, all in good shape. needs a good cleanin and some tidying up (wires, homemade anchors, carpet, etc etc). starts right up and runs great...

    Thanks for all your help with my last post... it seems that everyone thinks i need to hear this puppy run before any money is down. like i said, the solenoid is supposedly dead, so will it still start with the recoil starter? should anything else have to be tinkered with/tweeked? i'm heading...
