Need to know how difficult it is to change the fuel pump? Just did a decarb and the engine quits when under a load. Mech. said it is most likely the fuel pump. Does anyone know the part # for the year and make? Any help would be appreciated!<br /><br />Thanks Again<br />Deuce
my 82' evinrude 70 hp was stalling out under a load, while doing the decarb thing ( which work great), the engine was still stalling. I tried ( for some reason ) to adjust the shift cable. I now can not get it back into neutral or reverse. It goes into forward with no problem. Any suggestion how...
82' Evinrude 70 hp is quitting out when giving it more throttle....seems like it starts and goes right into forward with out using the shifter. It's a little trouble shiftting back into neutral and then reverse. Any help would be great.....<br /><br />Thanks Deuce

Need to know the approximate location to access the shift linkage to drop my lower unit. Need to change my water pump and can't seem to release the shift linkage......Does the trim need to be in the up position to access?
when removing the lower unit I was able to find all the bolts, the unit starts to lower about 3" My problem is the unit will not disengage from the shift linkage....Need some helpful hints! :confused:
