rebuilt the carb, new fuel lines, new fuel pump and she still bogs down at wot:mad:
whats next? coil? brain box? timing? linc/sync?
im not sure were to look next(maybe to the shop)

after i cleaned the carb on my 86 30hp rude and put it back together
i was wondering if or why there is no air filter or cover over the barrel of the carb? should there be? i didnt see one in the evinrude parts list
the reason i ask is im struggling to get her to run just right.
ive changed...
she starts fine, idols good, takes off at 1/4 throttle with a slight studder,
runs good at about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, goes all out at full throttle THEN with in a minute she just boggs down to nothing:mad:
then she dont want to go wot with out a lot of slow feathering.
heres what i have done ...
still in need of suggestions here; motor is still starving for gas.
the problem seems to be at the fuel pump
my fuel pump will start pushing gas thru it and then after about 4 to 5 seconds it stops? is that a bad pump?
(took it apart and everything looks fine)
i checked all hoses and no...

looks like a ***** to tear appart or is there a better way to loosen one up?
no grease serks that i could see and it turns very hard

i have to squeze the primer bulb to keep it running:mad:
when i take the fuel line off the bottom of the fuel pump and squeze the bulb it will push gas thru the pump, but when i turn the motor over no gas thru the pump? i took the pump apart (very carefully) & all looked good...
Hi all, im new here.
can someone help tell me what is wrong with my 1976 15hp johnson?
just resently noticed some drops of oil on the garage floor below the prop:(
its coming out of the casing for the prop.
whats the problem and is it possible to fix this myself or is it to involved...
