Replacing the bunks on the trailer

I have a Q7i, 2010 5.0 liter 220hp. The trailer bunks are showing significant wear and they need replaced. I am looking for recommendations on what to use..ie carpet, poly, etc. I would prefer recommendations from those who have preformed this procedure, but will entertain all thought!

    Alarm goes off slowing down

I have a 2010 Mercruiser 5.0TKS carburated S/N1A603164 with an Alpha S/N 1A240442. The alarm goes off when slowing down from full throttle (WOT 4800+) right at 4000rpms. It is a single beep. It does not go off if cruising at 4000rpms, only when slowing down. All gauges show fine with water...

    Noise at idle speed/gimbal bearing

I too was looking for how to grease the gimbal bearing, since I can not find the grease fitting or the plug in the housing at all. In reading the service bulletin, if looks like the change to the prema lube bearing was made in 2009. My boat is a 2010 Tahoe Q7, 5.0L, 220 hp. Did they completely...

Trailering a tahoe Q7 -Tire wear issues

I have a 2010 Q7 Fish and ski (purchased new in Jan 2012) and the factory trailer tires (Trail America ST 175/80D13, Load Range C) already need replaced. Is this the norm for these tires? Load Range C seem like they are light for the size of the boat. Anyone out there have a suggestion on...

    2010 Q7 Smart tab install

Re: 2010 Q7 Smart tab install I guess I owe my high school geometry teacher an apology. After reading the post above, I did not consider the angle of the transom. As you can see, it has an inward slope in relation to the bottom of the boat. This caused my install to increase the angle from...

    2010 Q7 Smart tab install

Here are some pictures of my install of the Smart Tabs on my 2010 Q7SSF. I found that if the lower bracket is taped on as shown it will hold the entire assembly in place. It helped me make sure of the location on both sides. With the chosen location, there is no interference with the swim...

Bimini - Am I missing somethin?

Re: Bimini - Am I missing somethin? As stated I used the Dowco Quick Release hinge, two internal eyes a hinged slide (so I didn't have to take apart the top) and a 2 inch piece of 7/8 tubing. Hopefully this will keep the top off the deck!

Factory INstalled Depth Finder and Hummingbird Depth FInder

I have a 2010 Q7 SF. I mounted the hummingbird transducer by installing a tee fitting on the drain tube from the small compartment on the starboard side and routed the wire through it. No additional hole in the transom. Anyway as it turns out the best place to mount the transducer was beside...

Bimini - Am I missing somethin?

Re: Bimini - Am I missing somethin? My 2010 Q7 doesn't have trailering struts. I am in the process of making a pair of my own using the Dowco QR hinges (only available through Tracker) and some short pieces of tubing, and eyes. I'll have about $150 in them. THey will fasten onto the same...

    Dowcolok QR fittings

Hello all, I am appealing to the wisdom and knowledge for you all. I am trying to find a source for the quick release fittings for my Bimini top. They are manufactured by Dowco. They are named the Dowcolok QR fittings. My top does not have "trailering struts". It is a 2010 Tahoe Q7SSF (just...
