Recently at around 4000> RPM I started getting a noise, seems to be from the front section of the motor. This is a loud high pitched ringing sound, not the duller sound that I would expect from a bearing or rod. Dropping below 4000 stops the noise. I do my own auto repair but am new to...
My 1977 140hp evinrude is overheating (buzzer actvated). I felt the discharge hoses and found that the left side, looking from the rear, was hot while the other hose was still cool. Also, is there a set of after market gages for this engine?
