Looking for a new ski choice

Earlier this year I bought a set of HO Sports Burner Pro's (the green and black ones). I am not happy with these skis at all. I've been out of skiing for several years and have gotten back in within the last year, though. Bought these to replace a rather old set that had old school bindings...

    Stereo upgrades

I know the stereo in my boat is basically crappy equipment. I'm looking at upgrades now, but a question for those of you who have worked on improving your system. Right now, the stereo has what I'd call a bathtub effect, particularly from the rear speakers. That is, it's kind of a weird boomy...

    wet carpet

Boat has snap-in carpet. No issues with it. I'm keeping it in a slip now, though. Yesterday got caught in the rain before I could make it back, so of course carpet was soaked. Was supposed to rain more last night, and though I'm in a covered slip, I covered it as I always do when leaving...

    Slip considerations

Right now I keep my boat at a storage place. Outdoor, but covered (under their building cover, I keep the boat covered). I'm kind of considering a slip, but likely only if I can find someone giving up theirs for a decent price. Not fired up about the full monthly cost. So all that said, my...

    screw into floor

So in my engine compartment, like most, I have a battery tray and tilt pump screwed down to the floor from the factory. As I consider a second battery, it has me wondering. How long of screws am I safe to use in putting down a second battery tray? I know I could simply put in a battery box and...

    Shavings? Normal or too much

Ok. I'm doing annual stuff and about to winterize. Drained the gear lube and this is what the lower plug with magnet looks like. Wondering if it's about normal or too much. It's an Alpha 1 Gen 2 on a 5.0. Boat has been running great. No issues.

    Stern drive storage position

I've seen plenty of threads to know that the stern drive gets stored in down position when winterizing. I'm wondering about normal storage, though, during the season. My boat live in a covered storage when not in use. Do I need to have it in down position when it's sitting there between uses...

    Trailer jacks (e.g. Fulton)

So my trailer (Glastron branded EZ Loader) has a Fulton trailer jack on it. It works fine, but recently the o-ring on the mount fell apart, so it's a bit wobbly. I was going to replace the ring but then started wondering. Are there other better jacks that you don't have to crank so many...

    Possible to dim gauge lighting

2007 Glastron GT205 with Faria gauges. So far I'm not out at night very often. But when I am I've found that I'd really like to dim the gauges way down to keep from affecting my night vision. Anyone know how much of a pain it is to setup a dimmer dial on these?

Better prop possible for Glastron GT205

Thought I'd solicit some opinions. Boat runs well. Just wondering if I can get more. First, here's what I'm working with... 2007 Glastron GT205 (Spec says 20'8") Dry weight for the boat is supposed to be 2780lbs. 35gal tank. 5.0 Mercruiser (carbed) 220hp / Alpha 1 outdrive with...

    Depth while in motion

Hi All. I have a 2007 Glastron GT205. It has the stock Lowrance combo digital depth finder and temp gauge. Temp constantly reads -4 degrees. Would be nice if that worked, but I really care more about the depth. Depth works fine while stopped and sometimes while underway. Most of the time...
