Two questions.
My Merc 115 2+2 (2004) has about 1/4 inch in and out play on the prop shaft in neutral. Is this normal? Changed oil and everything looked fine. When I put it in gear it slams a little in both forward and reverse.
2nd question. Does this engine have a rev limiter? I had a chance...

This is mounted on a Ranger 175VS Bass Boat and is the recommended prop. The problem is that at proper trim w/ 2 guys and gear I am only seeing @ 4700 rpm and by myself @ 4900 rpm.
