it would be hard since on the land the engine is running ok, it is in the lake after a little while the power is dropping. Fuel filter is new, pump is gravitational inside of the carburator. I was going to take it apart to see if there could be any issues
Thats a great question. There is no hour meter in the cluster, so the answer is who knows. Looking at the walls of the cylinders, no scuffs or scratches. top end is also in a good condition. And tbh, I've never heard about the engine running with a good compression on bad...
I got a 1998 Kawasaki 1100 STX with taken apart engine. Put it together, new gasket sets, rebuild carburator. Compression in all cylinders was even 125psi +-1 or 2. Spark was good on all plugs. Was running fine on the water hose, but took some starting fluid to get ti going. On the lake started...
I figured out what was wrong. Actually 2 things. First one is malfunction in the ignition switch, turning off the key does not turn off the power from the battery. The dashboard is still working and engine is running. Second part is probably in the second battery connection. I hooked them up...
I had my 1998 Ebbtide with 5.0 Mercruiser sitting for almost 2 years. This year I installed new batteries, checked the fuel (it was stabilized and I also poured enzyme fuel booster), fuel was not gunked. Repaired starter. The engine at first was cranking but not starting. Used starting fluid...
I believe the motor on 1993 Jazz is a 90 Force, you might try to look if it has been used in any other jet boats. Or try to see if reverse gate for any of the jet skies could be fitted for your boat.
Jetski has a good compression, about 120psi on both cylinders. Cranks fine, but im getting a single spark and nothing after. Changed the stator, still the same issue. This time the stator is used Kawasaki original. Mechanic said the ebox is good. I'm running out of ideas.
The battery is a little low, try to fully charge it before starting again. And if you shortcurcuit the poles of the starter solenoid, it should at least crank a little, clicking means your solenoid might be bad. But it is easy repair and pretty cheap one. Much cheaper than replacing the whole...
I am trying to get this jet ski to run. Original magneto had 2 wires green and purple coming to the cdi unit. Several replacement CDI units that came with this jet ski as well as the ones i saw online had 4 wires. So i decided to change the stator to match CDI unit. However, i got an aftermarket...
