I'm looking for an outboard for my MacGregor 25. I've been offered an Evinrude 9.5 long shaft 1969 Model 9922S for $419. It seems in good shape.
Is this a fair deal? Anything in particular I should look for when testing it? Will I be able to get parts for it?

I have a Suzuki 9.9 2-stroke with oil-injection. I haven't started it in several months and I recall the manual had a routine for priming the oil injection system if the motor had not been run in awhile. Unfortunately, I can't find the manual.
Anyone have a copy of the manual that can explain...
I'm considering buying a used Honda outboard that the seller claims is 25hp. However, on the rear of the housing is a big "6".
I can't find any reference to a Honda 6hp outboard sold in the US. Is this really a 25hp?
I'm considering buying a used 2hp Honda outboard for my Potter 15. Serial no. 1002676.<br /><br />Can someone tell me the approximate year of this motor? Also, hints on evaluating it before purchase would be appreciated. It has been run in salt water.<br /><br />TIA
