    cable length

    Can anyone advise on whether the length of starter cables effect starter performance? I have 9 ft cables due to battery position in boat, cables are very heavy duty probably 4 gauge. thanks, dog

    carburetor swapping

    Can anyone (who knows) tell me if a carburetor off a 94' 9.9 evinrude work on my 90' 9.9 evinrude? Thanks for all the help I've recieved from ya'll, great website.

    Gremlins @ WOT

    I'm running my 15 evinrude '86 model after a major tuneup and it shuts down at WOT. Only did it once, started back up and run fine after about five minutes. sounded like a click in the engine just before the shutdown. It hasn't done it since, but what would have caused it?

    9.9 Evinrude woe

    I have a 1990 evinrude 9.9 that won't run on idle unless the choke is almost closed. The compression is great about 100 in each cylinder, cleaned the carb and put in new kit, no help. Looked at the fuel filter, can't tell anything's wrong there, screen was clean. Gas tank is vented, new bulb...
