I may just do a overhaul if the engine does have to come out and replace the major parts.
I was just keen to know if the engine does have to completely come out to change coupler as my slip does not have the equipment to remove engines.
Mechanic advised the coupler had blown due to corrosion apparently, just find it odd that the coupler had blown a day after the legs had been serviced.

Have been told the Inboard engine will have to come out to change the whole assembly, can anyone verify this or advise from previous experience ?

The legs were serviced last week, had a jump in the water and the lower unit was moving much more freely than usual. Almost seems like it has completely come loose, had even double checked with the left legs and they not wiggle around at all
