I have a 1969 9.9 that has a weak spark on one cylinder and a 1978 6hp that has great spark. The 9.9 is magneto and the 6 has a stator plate and coils. Both are twin cylinder.
There may be an issue with space for the coils but if everything else works, i will find a work around for that.

More modern coils come with the HT lead seperate and it push fits or screws in. My two old coils seem in good shape but the HT leads are old and hard. They also appear to be moulded into the coil.
