OK....thanks for everyones help on the forward and reverse. got that fixed.....Bad Plug on wiring harness... So I took it out today and it ran fine for about an hour then while tooling along at half speed it popped out of forward. I got off of the throttle before it slammed back into gear...

Thanks Joe Reeves for your info. I have checked the solonoids and the push button swith they all seem to be good but it does not shif. Is there something that could be clogged or gunked up keeping it from shifting? Please help
Thanks Joe, <br /><br />I have been able to check the switch and it did work just fine. The shifter worked just fine then it sat for a yaer in a shed at my inlaws where it was knoked over on its side. I don't know how long it sat this way. could this clog somthing? Also I took the cover off of...
My 1972 65HP evenrude is stuck in forward. I remove lowerunit and removed coils. Both seem to be good. even with coils out it is still in forward please help. :confused:
