    Right or left? Oil bath hubs

    Snapped the bleed screw on the trailer brakes(drum) Question is is it the right or left side? The wheel is under the port side of the boat as it sits on the trailer.     Less slippage=more load?

    4.3 volvo penta, sx leg 1.60. 225hp, 14.25X19 AL prop, cupped. 4600 rpm 45mph. Campion 552, 2800lbs-3200lbs Now to the question, do S/S props have have less slippage?     Trailer brakes working?

    I don't no but it sure seems like the brakes aren't doing much. I have a couple of long hills and after coming down them with some speed and pumping the brakes(surge on the trailer) they don't seem even warm. Is there a definant way to check if they are operating? D.

    incorrect install on trim tabs

    Don't ask how, but I managed to measure incorrectly, so instead of having a 1/2" of negetive angle, I only have, about, well close to zero. I guess this means that even when fully retracted, the trim tabs are basicly level with hull line. Do I need to move the ram higher?:eek: Or see how it goes...

    Is it worth it?

    Well I got everything sorted out. I'm spinning 4700rpm(4800 is WOT) with a 14.25X19 3 blade aluminum(cupped). I can get sort of a good deal on a Solas stainless 4blade 14.25X17. What can I expect? Thanks Don

    Do I have enough horsepower?

    2006 Campion cuddy cabin, 19'. Fuel injected 4.3 volvo 2800lbs. 14.5X19 propeller. The boat now has about 40 hours on it. When new I waited the 10 hours before WOT. With the 19 pitch prop it pulled 4300rpm.(engine sticker and manual say 4400 to 4800) So 4300 was about good enough for me to get...
