    bottom paint is chalky, what to do?

    I purchased a used 25 foot boat and the bottom paint is chalky. Its not peeling or blistered. I think i should repaint. Is it okay to paint right over the chalky paint. Or how do I go bout getting rid of the chaukyness before painting.<br />thanks<br />downeastmaine

    How do I start outboard motor after storage?

    I have a 1987 200hp evinrude. and new to boating. I have no idea if the motor runs. What is the procedure for firing it up for the first time after being put up for winter.<br /><br />Thanks

    Evinrude, How can I tell the year?

    I have what is supposed to be a 1987 200hp Evinrude. I think it may actually be an older model. The serial # is #61462381. If you caan tell the year form the serial # . please let me know. Thanks
