One more piece to the puzzle just got to make some mounts for it on the beam coming along slowly

I put 1/4" strips of aluminum every 8"s or so with some center braces for the middle i got 1/16" checker plate to go down on the top of it ill be just putting sheet foam in

Not to thread jack but I'm in the midst of building a outboard bracket for my islander got a pretty good start on it too always up for sharing ideas

I've been looking online looks like general rule of thumb for brackets is 1" of height per ft of setback on the bracket

Anybody have a measurement or rough idea on the height of there outboard bracket thats put one on and what length of shaft motor was used Thanks

Got a bit done cut some stuff up and sent to a welder hopefully have it for next weekend made up my support for my kicker bracing should work alright

Yea I dont want to have a pile of wires thats why I figured I'd use a fuse block keep it clean

Power wires for a fuse block transducer wires and some wires for the engine

All I run is okumas and never had issues with them. On a side note got some conduit for my wiring to run through.

No work on boat its -17 but I sold the motors and stern drive and acquired more tackle for salmon/ walleye

Good to know I just thought it pulled in on me when I took it apart hopefully get some more work done on it this weekend

This is what I'm talking about the bow in the transom

To me it looks like the transom has pulled in a bit im just curious what the width is the transom aluminum is bowed out at the top a bit

This is the width I'm looking for id your able to measure it at the top of transom thanks

Anybody have a 74,75 islander I need a measurement of transom width i forgot to take that before I pulled boat apart
