    Hi there, Does anyone know if the johnson ignition systems are interchangeable? i.e, can i take the power pack, stator and timing base from a 1989 johnson 175hp engine and use them on my 1986 johnson 175hp engine? will this do any harm??? Also does anyone know how to troubleshoot the power...

    1989 johnson 175 one cyl low compression

    Hi there, I have just bought a secondhand 1989 johnson 175, and it had one cylinder with low compression before i bought it.
