    Cleaning trailer plug connectors?

    Does anyone have a quick fix to clean the male and female ends of a trailer connector that attaches to the back of a truck for the lights, brakes etc.? Somebody said to put brake fluid on them to clean the oxidation from the metal. Does that work? Any other suggestions?

    Motor wells in sailboat.

    I have a motor well in my sailboat with a Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke that dies when I am at idle speed . I think the exhaust is coming up through the motor well and starving the motor of air. When I am moving there is no problem. Any suggestions?
