    2006 etec 75 hp blows fuses

    I just bought a boat with a 2006 etec 75 hp. The previous owner took it to a boat mechanic because it was blowing a fuse. the mechanic said it needs a new computer for $1300. anything I can do to check this out for myself? Is it worth fixing? Is it a common issue with this motor?

    cleat install on 1979 15" whaler sport

    I want to add 4 cleats to my stock 15'3" boston whaler center console. The problem is there is no way to access the inside of the hull to bolt them through with large washers. Any ideas on a way to mount them? I don't know if there is any wood to screw to in the locations I'm looking to mount them.

    1979 whaler 15' 3" centerconsole fasteners stripped

    I have a whaler that has the stainless steel railing around it. The screws don't grab anymore. I'm assuming there is wood behind the fiberglass that is rotten. Any chemical, anchor or technique to make the screws hold tight?

    I have a 1979 boston whaler 15'3" center console that has a bad rub rail. It appears to be riveted on. A lot of the rivets are pulled out. How can I fix it? Is it riveted to wood or fiberglass?

    1995 1850 vs 1999 1800 anniversay addition hyra sport boat

    I looked at these two boats today. The 95 is $5500 and the other is $6500. The 1850 has a 130 rude the 1800 has a 115 ocean pro johnson. Any info on these boats? Are they wooden stringers and transom? Are these priced right. They are both in decent shape with trailers.

    Should I fix it?

    Should I rebuild a 1987 90hp johnson? What will it cost me in parts? It currently runs but has some aluminum transfer to cylinder wall in cylinder 3. And compression is off. How hard is it? I have tools and am pretty good at working on things.
