I have a 1986 merc 115hp engine. I've been experiencing some starter issues lately. Now when I turn it over it just clicks. So I put the battery charger on the battery, and tried to jump it. However, when I jumped it it didn't even turn over. I checked the voltage of the battery and it reads 0.5...
When I have my motor in neutral and rev it up to full throttle it will climb just fine, but when I shift into forward it won't climb all the way up even though it's at full throttle. It will only go at half speed.
I have a 1986 150hp Mercury. I recently reinstalled lower unit after impeller change. When the boat is in forward, prop ratchets clockwise, but when I put it in reverse it doesn't ratchet at all. It locks both ways. Is this supposed to happen, or is something wrong in my lower unit?
