new motor with electric start, there is one wire that isn't connected to anything inside the motor. I checked the manual and it is supposed to go to the starter motor bracket? is this the ground on the starter motor housing? It isn't cracking so I am trying to trouble shoot. thanks

I have recently purchased an FD-15 1961 18hp Johnson. I am doing the routine tune-up and decided to change the head gasket as well. Does anyone know the right torque specs and sequence? Also what is the torque spec on the flywheel nut i have seen many different answers.
