Took spark plug out for cyl 1 and seen it had a crack on it, seems to be running rich. See photos

No water coming out of the exhaust on muffs

ran it for about 10 minutes at the lake at idle, and it never got above 150ish, i did end up getting the oem muffs for when i want to start it at home. I am still getting the white smoke and rough idle even at the lake, gonna rebuild my carb and hope. Where you also getting a rough idle?

Gotcha, i was reading online about the 140 and 160, originally i had bought the 140 but sent it back due to the fact that i was seeing everyone else with 160’s for lake use.

Seems like it has plenty of pressure, water sprays everywhere when i have it on the drive.

It was not setting level. I’ve read some other threads about this problem and they said that it not being level could cause it to heat up, and another person said it was just when they had it on muffs, when they were at the lake it ran fine.

No water coming out of the exhaust on muffs

Engine was around 180-185, which i’ve got another problem now but im gonna look through some threads and see if i can pin point the culprit. New problem is the Starboard manifold is a hot to touch and port is cool, hoping it’s just because i was idling tho.

No water coming out of the exhaust on muffs

hooked the mechanical one up and it was 60-65 psi at idle (tachometer wasn’t working right) running it for around 5 minutes, seems a little high doesn’t it?

Yeah I need to check oil pressure, gauge always pegs out when i start it, oil was clean when i changed it. I have a mechanical pressure gauge i need to check it with.

Right on the money Bondo, let it run for a few minutes then water started coming out. Guess I was too chicken to run it longer than a minute (for good reason) and me draining the block over and over would make sense of why it would take so long to come out just didn’t wanna burn anything up...
