I applied heat around the 2 studs and used a chisel in the top front seam while using a dead blow hammer on the rear support of the anti cavitation plate.     I'll add although the pickup coil tested good it does not look healthy to me. Some of the outer "insulation" of the coil windings has broken down and fell off.

    Is it possible that the sudden spark plug blow out under load could mess up something in the carburetor? I've installed new plugs, wires, cap, and button. I did not see spark with the new button so I put the old button back in and see spark again. I also checked my fuel for water and it is good.
