I spend alot of time in skinny water. I may pick up an old tri hull and restore/convert it to a skiff. I plan to pull the cap and toss it. Replace transome, stringers, floor and add front deck. I would have to redneck engineer gunnels too. It would be a tiller steer when complete. Plywood is...
Is this a dumb idea? I have to pull the cap off anyway. It wouldn't be a true tunnel hull, just a pocket tunnel. Not really built for high speeds either. I fish VERY stumpy water. If I could raise the prop a little it would help a ton. I would be moving at trolling speeds in the stump field.
