I tried starting it today and it would not start then after I tried starting it i checked the oil there was no oil on the dipstick and there was before trying to start it and instead of oil there was gas
Oil does come out of the breather box that is attached to the carb. I am just not sure if I gets there through the carb or breather lines. Today I will try to start it and see.
I will. I cleaned my carburetor multiple times thinking it was that and it did not fix it my maybe it's broken. Also how would a stuck open carburetor cause oil to leak from it doesn't that only control gas?
I have a 2003 15hp 4 stroke mercury outboard engine and oil came out of my carburetor i looked for a pcv valve and did not see one so I don't think my engine has one and I did a compression test and had 120-125 psi
could this indicate blow by on my piston rings and be the reason for oil coming...
I took my boat out fishing and it ran just fine and the next week it started leaking oil through the carb and wouldn't start good unless throttle was up all the way what could be the cause of this?
