Motor: 89 Evinrude 90 HP VRO
The motor starts and runs fine. Idles around 650 RPMs when put into gear.
Problem:
When I take the motor out of gear the RPM's drop to around 500 and the motor stalls. Pulled the spark plugs and they look fine. I am thinking that the idle needs to be turned...
I feel kinda silly asking this question, but were is the tilt/trim sending unit on a 1989 VRO 90 HP? Looked in the manual, but was unable to locate it.
I have a 1989 Evinrude V4 VRO 90 HP Motor. The no-oil warning horn (1/2 sec. on 1/2 sec. off) sounds for 10-15 sec. and then stops. This has happened the past few times I have started the motor. Ran the boat with no problems. Could this be the start of the oil pump failing?
