I recently bought a 1975 Johnson 50 from a boat mechanic and it runs great but when I idle it slows down so much that it dies when I shift back in gear. It does not spit sputter or run bad in any way, it simply idles so low that it dies. I think I need to idle it up a little but I am not sure...
