I have a 1983 regal 18' open bow with a mercruiser 120 and only getting 25mph and 3500 rpm seems to me boat should go a lot faster.Have no clue what prop is on the boat the one that came with it has no size stamp.

Ok now i have never had this boat in the water(1983 regal with 120 motor and a R outdrive), but when i ran it in the driveway it throttled up fine then when i pulled back on the throttle it stayed revved up.It looks like everything is there is this a cable not...
Is there anything i can use to remove the hinge pins from my outdrive besides the hinge pin tool?Only about $15, but i cant stand buying a tool just for one certain thing.

I woke up Sunday morning to find a pontoon boat tied to my dock and no one around talked to the neighborers i guess someone ran out of gas.Well its Tuesday and they have not returned so do i get to keep it?Thinking of pulling it out, but can i charge storage then?
Was running outboard in barrel to make sure everything was good and it started to smoke alot and died.Well it wont start again i have good spark drained gas put fresh in and checked jets not clogged.So does anyone have an idea?Also getting gas no problem.
Is was taking off the float bowl when i dropped the screw and cant find it in
the motor anywhere just gone!

I need to rewire my old Chrysler boat sine it has no fuse or breakers.
Can someone suggest a good read on how to do this.
All i really know is there is no ground on a boat and it has to come from the battery and i want to do it right with fuses and buss bars.
I was driving my buddys 1979 Switzer with a 470 mercruiser last night a noticed it pulls left real bad.
When i pulled it out i noticed no anod above the prop.
Should there be one there?
I just changed the impeller and gear lube in my 79 90hp.
When i was running it in a can after a while the can was full of lube.
So when i looked it seems to be leaking out the bottom plug.
Can i get these plugs anywhere or are they special order like everything else on these motors?
I would like to keep my boat in the water for weekends during the season instead of pulling it out from my dock every night, but if i leave it in just fro a day i get i nasty scum line on the up river side.
Is there anything i can put on to make this easier to clean off when i do pull it out...
