    rebuilding carbs on a 19978 70hp... most of the threads I've read said to screw the low speed jet into seat and backout 1 1/2 turns... checked mine before I took them apart and they were backed out 3 turns... whick is correct?

    70hp pre-mix

    1997 70 hp that is hard to and keep running after it sits for a few weeks... Been told to rebuid carbs as the gas evaporates and leaves the oil which cloges the carbs up. Now my question is if the carb rebuild works can I which it to pre-mix and disconnect the fuel line at the end of the day...

    JL650A no spark

    1992 JL650A died and won't start, no spark to the plugs. Had one guy check it, says no output on ignition side of stator, wants $800 to fix it. Could it be something else, if not may try it myself....

    64 9hp Runs bad

    Father-in-law bought a 1964 9hp that had a old bad gas problem. I rebuilt the carb and fuel pump and cleaned out all the fuel lines. Now it starts and runs with the choke closed but when I open the choke it dies. Any ideas what to do next????

    water in cylinder

    2002 Yamaha xl700.... was flushing the engine with hose adapter. Turned off engine but forgot water hose for a few minutes... engine wouldn't crank over, pulled the plugs and both cylinders were full of water.... is this normal or does it have a blown head gasket....
