    1999 120 force timing

    I have a shop manual that goes up to 1998. The instructions will not work on my engine.The manual has 30 btdc @ 5000 rpms.Is it safe to run a 1999 force 120 at that setting?I burned a piston on a 6 cyl inline mercury because i had too much advance.

    Can anyone tell me the maximum spark advance at full throttle.I have a shop manual that goes up to 1998 but the timing instructions don't work on my engine. 1999 120 force
