    Water Pressure gauge

    Hey There, I have an 87 Johnson 40hp outboard that I want to connecton a water pressure gauge to. Do I "T" into the hose that is for the pee stream? or connect that hose directly to the gauge? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Emptydata

    Control cables

    I have a 85 Johnson 40 hp with a binnacle mount controls. I disconnected the cables to mount a new helm on the pontoon - reconnected as they were and now it will go into reverse but will not activate the throttle. It will go into forward with no problems - the throttle works just fine... What...

    SeaFoam??

    Hey everyone, I have a 1985 Johnson 40hp outboard that the oil injection pump is disconnected. I premix and always use Stabil fuel stabilizer. I want to use seafoam to clean things out - what ratio to gas should I use and can it be used with Stabil?? Thanks for everyone's time. Emptydata

    87 Johnson 40hp rpm operating range

    Hey Everyone, I have a new to me 87, 40hp Johnson motor - and was wondering what the rpm range is on this? Currently it's pushing an 18' pontoon and I have been running it around 3,000 to 4,000 rpm. Does it have more? :confused: I don' want to push it.... Thanks for the info... Emptydata

    Hot starter, turns slowly

    Hey everyone, I have a 1985 Johnson 40 hp - and I am having problems with the starer. It turns over very slowly and it gets very hot - Checked the cables and everything seems ok. Any idea what it could be????:confused: Thanks for everyone's time, Emptydata
