Had the boat out on the river for the first time this spring and hit a submerged log. Boat runs fine, no vibrations. The only damage I can find is a small ding the that looks like someone tapped it wit ha chisel - see pics. The drive oil level is okay, but water is draining from this hole...
I'm curious why no one publishes or talks about torgue specs on boat motors. I'm sure a carbed 5.7 has more torque than a MPI 5.0, but how much more, and at what RPM? The specs on my new Tahoe Q6 made me more curious. I got the MPI 5.0 becuse I wanted a F.I. V, and the 5.7 offered in that boat...
I just placed an order for one based on how much Iliked a Q5S in the showroom. I wanted the MPI V8 which meant ordering next year's model, but I've seen very few specifics on the new model.
