Do you have a bulb on the fuel line? When it starts stumbling give it a few pumps, does it smooth out when you pump it?
Mine did on my (admittedly) much different 250 2-stroke, and swapping the fuel ECU did the trick, maybe that’s the fuel module you described.
Agreed, replace both.
I‘m not sure if this would apply I your case, but stators can sometimes be rebuilt rather than completely replaced. Might be worthwhile looking into this option.
