I am restoring a 2000 Bayliner Capri 1600 and cannot get the gas lid off. It looks easy enough, like a flip lid but no luck. It won't budge like there is a key switch combination which I cannot find evidence of, any experience out there would be greatly appreciated!
What I was hoping to relay was that the boat runs strong, I can tell the compression isn't an issue. I've cleaned the carbs and replaced the fuel line and filters. The water pump also seems to be strong but maybe it's failing? Maybe thermostats is sticky? Thanks for your help, I'm pretty new at...
thanks! funny thing is that sometimes during full throttle it zipped across the water and felt great; then, after sitting for a while, it was back to normal. seemed like it needed to run for about ten minutes every time to get back to running smooth.
Hi, I recently bought a vintage Ebbtide with a 1977 Johnson 70 HP 2-Stroke 3 Cylinder and the throttle response is poor. It shifts into fwd / neutral / reverse without issue but the accelerator forwards is not too responsive. Sometimes it even cuts out. Any ideas and / or suggestions to remedy...
ok, thanks! i had read there were two but could only find one. after replacing the starter solenoid, my starter was still not getting power. the starter is ok.
hi I have a 1977 70hp Johnson two-Stroke 3 Cylinder and need help finding the fuses. i located the fuse near the starter solenoid but can find the other one, if it exist.
