ok guys my tilt trim unit works but in water and moving the pressure from water pulls it down to about half off where it was.i can slow down and it comes back up when i hit button.i changed fluid and i have no visable leaks eather. wat do you guys think is my problem? thanks eric

my 40 hp 96 model the cables are cracked right at motor and i can see like 1/2 inch exposed.is this ok or do i need to think about replacing.if so how do i now wat kind and length i need without taking them out to find out.
