    replacing bad vro with vacume fuel pump on 87 v6 omc

    My vro quit working on my 1987 2.7l sea drive finding a new one has been a bad experiance. Is there an alternative like replacing the vro with a evinrude or snowmobile vacume fuel pump and premixing the gas? any suggestions Thanks Eric

    I recently had my powerhead rebuilt and installed by my mechanic. He thought the fuel pumps where not functioning properly so he instaled an automotive 12v electric pump. Is this safe? Thanks Eric
