Alright so i want to tune up my 1982 evinrude 70hp and give it some more power and i was looking at boysen reeds are they any good? worth the money? Also what other performance modifications can i do?

i have an 82 evinrude 70hp and it seems to be getting a short life out of the power packs? the first one went so i got and aftermarket one after about a year it went bad the engine woudl start but it woudlnt shut off. i bought another aftermarket one and it fixed the engine shutting off...
alright so i planne dout swaping out my 70hp for a 75hp with t/t but when i talking down at my marina they said that the 75hp was not a good motor. and to stick with the 70. what should i do? i was told th e75 is bad for watersking and fishing due to carbs and all bu tis great for racing or wot...
Is it possible to put a power tilt and trim unit from a 1982 75hp engine onto a 1982 70hp engine with out removing the 70hp engine from my boat????? also the 70hp engine never had power tilt and trim. please help.
Does a 1982 75hp with power tilt and trim have the same engine bracket as a 1982 70hp with out power til and trim. If so can i install the power t/t on my motor stile atached to the boat????? Thanks in advanced.
I have an 82 70hp rude and there is black sludge/slime coming from the exhaust(prop) and from where the prop meets the lower unit. Is this normal. please answer fast. im going fishing today. Thanks in advance.If its not normal what is it????

hi all i have a 1982 evinrude 70hp and i was running it on the muffs (revving it) to clean it out and i was told i will destroy my engine due to lack of back pressure. can someone explain this???
