I have a 79 70hp omc that has spark and I redid carb. but is running only on one or two cylinders. I not going to spend any more time trying to fix but replace with 2002 mecury 50 hp any know problems with this engine and world should i take my old engine to sell for parts?
started acting up last week. first would not start then starter locked up, freed starter but gets hot. lude with what inside? also back to old problem won't fire ran flawless last week. what should i check next? alway was hard to start on cold start. thanks
1979 70hp omc/everything was working fine but now turn key and no ignition. replace cyliner that key and starter attach too. no change. took jumper cables and touch starter and starter turn to crank. turn key dead. any ideas were to look for problem. Thanks in advance.
