My motor is missing both the rectifier and the diode which connects to it to control prop engagement when the ignition is turned off. does this diode have to be in place for the system to charge? I purchased a rectifier and it is on its way to me. just curious if I have to have the Diode.
I have a 1970 Evinrude 115 electric shift with 120 psi on all cylinders just rebuilt the carbs because I was having to choke it to get it to run over 3000 rpms. I have ss screws set pretty close and it

I found the wires individually at RPB Johnson but I would have more in the wires than in the entire engine. Can anyone here tell where I can get wires with the screw in ends? Can I use after market solid core wires ans use the original ends? It was going to be 120 bucks for wires.

I need help removing the clamp swivel bracket on my 1972 Merc 140 from the center section of the motor. The pivot cracked on it where the steering rod goes through and I am afraid I am going to drop the motor in the drink.
I need to know where to start on prop selection for this 115 motor on my 18ft 1977 Starcraft Cheiftan cuddy cabin. The Evinrude seems strong and responsive I took of a 1972 Mercury 140 that would push it about 42 MPH. The clamp swiwel bracket broke on the Mercury and I cannot figure out how...
