    Alright guys , pull out your thinking caps . Got a Wizard 7.5 air cooled AND water-cooled that needs an impeller . I can't make out the model # , but it looks like ESK-985(3)4B-18 serial # is 18 218765 any help or direction greatly appreciated . Jeff

    4.5 merc year

    Hey guys , been to Modelguide and done a search here in the forum but STILL have'nt found out what year this thing is . Serial # A105063 . Has 4.5 on the lower cowling and has dark brown , light brown and tan stripes . As always thanks . Jeff

    Evinrude /Johnson question

    I've picked up a couple of 140's that all have the same problem , the # 3 piston ring has failed and done major damage to the piston and cyl. wall . Is this an inherent problem to these motors or a maintenance oversight ? Thanks as always, Jeff

    1956 Johnson 30hp

    Hey guys , me again . Where do you measure to get the shaft length ? I measured from the cavitation plate to the bottom of the engine pan and got roughly 21" . Is this a long shaft , and if so does any of you know where I can get a short shaft? As always , thanks . Jeff :confused: :confused:

    nissan 3.5 spark plug gap

    Hey guys , <br /> I've been unable to find the year of this one on modelguide , NS3.5A , 309-1, 87137 . The spark gap listed on the cover says 0.04 but it does'nt run at that gap . I can open it up a little (.20) and it runs but it gets a little hot . Anyone know the gap ? I know plug gap...

    Me again guys , I'm back to my other project boat a 1953 Lone Star Admiral w/ a 56' 30 hp. The problem is that I've got good compression (160lbs on both), good spark and the top cyl is firing great ,it even idles on the top cyl . The problem is it does'nt run on the bottom cyl . I've tried...
