    trim tabs question

    i just bought an 03 baja and the previous owner apparently to the trim tab guage out and clipped the wires about a foot away from the tabs, why would he do this? i want to get a guage, but being that he clipped the wires, can i get a guage and splice the wires or is there a brain for the guage...
