    cavitation plate/jack plate/in relation to bottom V point

    I installed a jack plate on my boat:rolleyes:, I have heard that there is a relation between the size of the plate (offset/pushback) to where the cavitation plate should sit now in relation to the V bottom of the boat anybody heard anything about that???:confused:

    Guys I'm having this issue with my boat, it will not even reach 5000 RPMs:confused:, I currently have a 14-1/2 x 19 3 blade propeller on my 200 HP Johnson, I can only get to about 4700 RPMs and to ~30-35 MPH, the motor seems to have enough power left on it when is at WOT however it will not go...

    spark but not firing

    My motor (1150 Merc Thunderbolt) dies when I put it on gear:confused:? I check ?Sync? and I got it to idle good, but as soon as I try to put it on gear it dies, did more and more checks and ended up discovering that #5 and #6 are not firing :eek:(they do have spark) but I know they are not...
