    Aerator Pumps Screeching

    Recently purchased a boat that had little used in it's lifetime, since 1990. I activated the aerator pumps. They're running, but not pumping well and screeching loudly. Are they serviceable or should I just replace them? They are Mayfair Basspirator's, model #2460, straight shaft.

    Using livewells

    Just purchased a used Javelin bass boat with front and rear livewells. The inlets on the transom are plugged (as would be the bilge). There is a shut-off valve control. <br /><br />I assume I must remove the plugs for use of the livewells? How can I confirm the shut-off valve is operating before...

    Johnson 150 warning horn

    Trying to help a friend with his rig. 1990 Johnson 150 (white cowling). Horn is "peeping" at WOT, around 5500 RPM. Motor appears to be cool. Any ideas? VRO is in use.

    Considering purchase of 1990 Johnson GT150

    This motor is on a 1990 Javelin 378F/S. The engine (no hours meter) appears to have been used little.<br /><br />Any particular trouble spots with this motor? What should the cylinder compression read? What should I replace before launching next season?<br />All suggestion's appreciated.
