Attached a gauge to measure fuel pressure while engine was running.

Already ordered a new fuel pressure regulator (by the way the one found in the fuel cooler is made in Japan by kei hin).
It is the proper thing to do, right?

Thank you for your answer.
The gauge's pressure was indeed bleeding down slowly, but I think it was due to the banjos I used to connect the fuel hose. I used a towel and got wet with fuel right where the connection was.
I didn't know that the pressure should at no times reach more than...

Connected the fuel pressure gauge, turned the ignition key and the gauge wrote 55 for one or two seconds and the stalled at 30. So I guess the pump and regulator are fine.

Most definitely it is rain water. When I purchased the boat the engine room cover was rotten and rain water was coming in the engine. Seems like rain water found its way inside the intake manifold through the throttle body.
