    shift interrupter question

    I have a 1974 165 merc i/o with a model 1 outdrive in a 23 Seabird.<br />Question, does the interupt switch operate when going into gear as well as coming out of gear? Mine works coming out only even after I have double checked my adjustments. Thanks for any replies. :confused:
