I have a 1989 90 hp yamaha motor. I rebuilt it last year. Put about 25 hours on new parts. Runs great. This weekend I took it out again. Ran through 6 gallon gas. I was running at 3800 rpms when the engine sputtered. I shut it down and switched tanks. Its started back up started to go...
I went to look at a 1988 Johnson 88 spl. It hasnt run in over a year. I did a compression check and they were all btween 85 and 90 lbs. Is that low or is that normal beacuse it wasnt warm and had no gas and oil in it?
I have a 1972 mercury 80 hp outboard. I rebuilt it last year by replacing all the piston and rings. I tried to change the head gasket and exhaust gaskets but the bolts were badly oxidated. I broke one bolt on the exhaust side. Now the botton cylinder is wet all the time. Dont think its fuel...
